Professional Profile

I am a Pan Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences (EEPS). I am a seismologist who studies the physical origin of earthquakes using their waveforms. I have worked on understanding the mechanics behind earthquakes in a number of settings, from subduction zones to man-made earthquakes from industrial processes. I previously received my Ph.D. in Geophysics from Stanford and my B.A. in Physics from Princeton. I am also a native of Houston, Texas, so I like to think that I know what fun things there are to do in this town - my favorite place is Memorial Park.
